ST, a pioneer in the field of motor and motion control, has extended its portfolio of STSPIN (pronounced: ST-spin) motor drivers with the introduction of 3 new monolithic devices. These new drivers have been optimized for battery-operated systems in terms of low input voltage, low noise, and minimal power consumption. Available in a 3 x 3 mm QFN package they are the smallest ICs in the world integrating both the control logic and a high-efficiency power stage. By providing extreme position accuracy and unprecedented smoothness of motion these devices are ideal for all battery powered stepper, DC, and 3-phase brushless motor applications.
