Low Power, High ESR Real-Time Clocks

This tutorial will present the latest innovation in serial real time clocks, a design that can operate with 32kHz crystals with an ESR up to 100 kΩ. The demands of the serial RTC market will be highlighted, and a new oscillator design that meets those market requirements will be described. There will also be a review of four products with this new circuit design which are currently available, and three others in development that will be introduced before the end of 2011.
