EPC power stage ICs feature ultra-fast switching and efficient performance
The EPC EPC23102 integrates a complete GaN half-bridge power stage capable of up to 35 A at 1 MHz operation, offering higher performance and a smaller solution size for high-power-density applications, including DC/DC conversion, motor drives, and class-D audio amplifiers.
Features
- All-in-one power stage IC that integrates high-side and low-side GaN FETs, an internal gate driver, a level shifter, synchronous bootstrap charging, and a logic interface in a compact 3.5 mm x 5 mm QFN package
- High current and high voltage capability: rated for up to 35 A load current (at 1 MHz) and 100 V maximum input
- Low RDS(ON): 6.6 m for both high-side and low-side FETs, minimizing conduction losses
- Ultra-fast switching: capable of operating above 1 MHz for high-frequency converters
- Efficient performance: greater than 96% peak efficiency demonstrated in a 48 V to 12 V buck converter at 1 MHz, handling 8 A to 17 A continuous load
