USB3CFTV Series Rugged USB-C® Standard Connectors

Amphenol’s USB3CFTV ruggedized USB-C standard connectors are based on the Series III MIL-DTL-38999. Plugs and receptacles are mated using a tri-start threaded coupling mechanism. This mating solution strengthens and protects devices against fluids, dust, shocks, and disconnection due to vibration. These versatile connectors are housed in a size 11 shell and provide EMI protection with shielding continuity. There are no special tools required for cabling adaptation. The benefits of the USB-C include the flexibility to design many different data transmissions, power delivery, and video configurations with the advantages of Amphenol’s know-how in ruggedized connector solutions.

The USB3CFTV series is IP68 sealed for mated pairs and unmated receptacles (with sealed USB-C cordset). A variety of materials and platings allow for customer satisfaction based on application. Data and power transmission are fully reversible for both the plug and receptacle. Compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1, these connectors allow for 5 A intensity and 20 V voltage.
