Mini DisplayPort™ - MDP FTV

Amphenol's MDP FTV is a complete ruggedized solution around the Mini DP standard. It utilizes Amphenol’s tri-start thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 Series III type) to connect the plug and receptacle parts. This solution allows users to insert a standard Mini DP cord set into a metallic plug shell, protecting it from shocks, dust, and fluids. The assembly of this ruggedized plug does not require any tools and can be easily done in the field. There is a corresponding dedicated MDP FTV receptacle for mounting on the user’s panel, enabling reinforcement and protection of their system against leakage, shocks, vibrations, and much more. In addition, the reduced flange jam nut receptacle’s small footprint complements the Mini DP FTV’s small size. Data transmission complies with Display 1.4 protocol, with a bandwidth of 32.4 Gb/s with 8.1 Gb/s per lane. MDP FTV can support 8K UHD at 60 Hz or 4K UHD at 120 Hz.
