86P Clamps

Amphenol PCD’s 86P clamp was developed as a one-for-one replacement to outperform industry-standard metal clamps (i.e. AS21919). They feature key value-add design elements, including separate locking and mounting locations, a bottom hinge for easy wire bundle installation, and PEEK polymer construction. These are lightweight and allow for reduced installation time while meeting or exceeding MIL-Spec and RTCA DO-160G requirements. They are, on average, 41% lighter than AS21919 stainless steel and 8% lighter than AS21919 aluminum. They are non-conductive and non-corrosive to give peace of mind throughout the service life, knowing the 86P clamp will not corrode or cause a short in the wire bundle. The ergonomic design reduces the risk of injury, frustration, and foreign objects and debris present when fighting metal clamps and dropping screws during installation. The 86P clamp makes installation quick, easy, repeatable, and more efficient. They allow for installation and re-work time savings with the pre-mountable design with toolless opening and closure. Overmolded silicone cushion allows for increased shock and vibration performance and allows for more wire bundle ranges resulting in fewer part numbers compared to AS21929.
